This documentary deals with that other Maine not pictured on post cards or calendars. It's the tragic story of relationships and broken promises. A young lad has been pulled from school to work on the family farm...a farm which will be his someday, or so he thinks. His mother has other ideas and matters turn worse when the son and girlfriend come up with a plan. It's brilliantly told and the filming is masterful. It's also very sad and will stay with you for awhile, musing on the awful things we do to each other and how we give in to those weaknesses we all have. You can check it on PBS tonight at 9:30.
